Publication of New Afghan Children’s Folktales Book, Bood Nabood
The Afghan Songbook & Literacy project produced, Bood Nabood (Once Upon a Time) – the first book of traditional Afghan children’s folktales. This delightful, full-color book includes Dari and Pashto folktales, each collected from elders across Afghanistan. Each folktale is vividly illustrated by a talented Afghan illustrator. Each tale offers a moral lesson to live by such as being kind to your neighbor, working hard through life, helping others, believing in justice and integrity and having courage to stand up for what is right.
